  • Does requesting help from your Congressman or Senators help?

    Hello,

We've been waiting for an interview after a marriage based I-485 filing in October 2017. So far no action or response from USCIS Chicago in spite of multiple service request, work orders, and phone calls into the office by our attorney.

Our attorney has now said they have exhausted all actions they can take except for filing a suit against USCIS or getting our senators/congressman involved.

Has anyone had any success asking for help from their congressman/senators?

I'm not sure how helpful it will be these days because the letter from the USCIS back to congressman has been to allow 30 days for processing... sounds like a regular reply to a service request...

Which field office is handling your case? It all depends on the processing time of your field office
