4 months after my I 485 interview they requested to file an i-160 waiver. Do I get another interview for the I-160 waiver? And how long will the process be.

You mean a i-601 waiver? Not known how long the it takes. Why were you found inadmissible? You need a lawyer ASAP.Originally posted by Nyc17filer View Post4 months after my I 485 interview they requested to file an i-160 waiver. Do I get another interview for the I-160 waiver? Hey thanks for replying! Yes that’s what I meant. I do have a lawyer. For a misdemeanor overseas. It was over 5 years ago. Does the waiver has a mandatory interview or they do it randomly? I just want to hear from people that have experience it. That’s why I don’t bother to ask the lawyer. Thanks

No there is no interviews for waivers. Basically your spouse(sponsor) will have to show that they will suffer hardship should you be denied AOS and removed from the US. You need to ask your lawyer if he has done i-601 waivers before and if he was successful. Its just a set of documents showing how if you are denied AOS because of your inadmissibility your sponsor would suffer, how they cant move with you to your country blah blah. The hardship also has to be extreme

Was it a Crime Involving Moral Turpitude (CIMT)? Also, how did you get into the US if you had a ban? Did they overlook it when you applied for a visa?Originally posted by Nyc17filer View PostHey thanks for replying! Yes that’s what I meant. I do have a lawyer. For a misdemeanor overseas. This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.
