I-485 filed, no receipt notice received from USCIS/Lockbox Support

Hi All,


I have filed my l-485 along with my wife through attorney on July 30 2019 Phoenix center.

It has been more than 45 days but there is no receipt number.

Called USCIS, they did not find any record through my Alien no and as per their suggestion I dropped mail to Lockbox Support on Sep 06.

Still there is no clue what is going on with my case.

Only confirmation we have is USPS package delivery to Phoenix center.


Any of you faced similar situation? Please suggest on my next steps.

When I filed for my adjustment of status, they gave me a new alien number, that could probably be why they could not find any record through your previous alien number.

Also, USCIS is not the most efficient at keeping their records, one of my other family members had trouble with them in the beginning of this year because they lost her green card packet! Her green card was approved and she got the I-551stamp in her passport, but later USCIS notified that they lost her packet and couldn't produce her green card... she made an Info Pass appointment, resubmitted a few things, then got the congressman involved. They finally sent her the green card 6 months after receiving the I-551stamp.

Did you try to make an info pass appointment? sometimes it's just better to speak to someone in person than talking on the phone.
