  • When to do the medical?

So my case just updated to "Case is ready to be scheduled for An Interview" ( Yaaaaaaay!! )
And now I am wondering if I should be going to my medical ASAP? I know the medical is valid for 6 months, can I expect to have an interview in that time frame after this update?

Also, if anyone has experience with this, how does a medical go when one is pregnant? I'm assuming there are a lot of vaccines and stuff I wont be able to do....
    Any input appreciated!

The medical is valid for 2 years. The officer can request a new one if they want (in rare cases they do this).

If the pregnant woman doesn't have vaccination records, she can do a blood test to see if she is immune to the disease she needs vaccines (MMR, Rubeola), I think that's better than the option to fill the information as not appropriate.

Sometimes the status change from ready to schedule to interview scheduled in a few days but sometimes it takes several months. Some people wait for the 'interview scheduled' status to do the medical, in the meantime, they shop around to see how much it costs with different authorized civil surgeons and what is required (appointment, how long it takes, etc.)

    Good luck.
