No reponse from uscis for RFE

Hey guys, at this point i’m really getting desperate and feel hopeless. My interview was Aug 20th, two weeks later I got a call from my lawyer that uscis sent a request for a new medical. The very same day (Thursday) I went to the doctor’s. picked up my results monday and brought it to my lawyer so he can send it. It has now been about 45 days since the new medical was sent to uscis and still no response or change on my case.
my online status is not accurate at all (ever since i filed my i485 it was stuck on new office has a jurisdiction until after 10 days after the actual interview when it changed to interview was completed and case must be reviewed) so it’s not even showing that they requested new medical not that they’ve received it. I’ve called the uscis 800 number and spoke to someone but they can’t give me an answer on whether they have it or not, either.
is it normal that you’re left out in the blank not knowing literally anything? Is it normal that if they received it they wouldn’t even change the online status or send a notice of action? And finally is it normal for them to process it for almost two months?
i feel like everybody gets their gc relatively shortly after the interview, in my case it has been over 2 months since the interview and i’ve got nothing and am left confused not knowing what to do.

Most online cases update regularly but many have problems. If your online case never updated normally, then you don't have to worry, they sent the RFE and you answered promptly.

I have read some cases that they request a new medical and they delay the answer for several months. I hope you get your GC soon.

Thank you. I wish there was a way to find out if they ever received it or opened it but i suppose it is what it is. It is somewhat calming, however, to read that it’s probably normal.

And for me it's been a year since my interview and my status still remains at interview was schedule after he told me that in couple of months I will get something in the mail. Really 1 year now. Well oct 31st 2019 would be a year I just ask congressman to check on it for me cause it's not possible.

The only thing I can think of is to check the FedEx/UPS/USPS delivery information. It is different to see "left at the front door" than "delivery signed by X". If it was signed, then nothing to worry and just keep waiting.

Well oct 31st 2019 would be a year I just ask congressman to check on it for me cause it's not possible.

That’s horrible. It’s so stressful. The lady at my interview told me that i’ll hear from them within 120 days - which i did, with the rfe. But nothing since. I know i may seem just impatient but with my vawa application the process has taken over 2.5 years now and it’s just kind of messing with my head. But i totally understand that 2 months after interview is absolutely nothing in comparison to the one year for you.
i wish you the best of luck to finally hear a positive response from them, whether with the help of the congressman or not!

The only thing I can think of is to check the FedEx/UPS/USPS delivery information. It is different to see "left at the front door" than "delivery signed by X". If it was signed, then nothing to worry and just keep waiting.

Newly, by an uscis rep i was told that they should legally respond to a rfe within 60 days. So i’m gonna give it till the first week of Nov and go talk to my lawyer to see what the options are and while there, will ask for what you just suggested - as he is the one who sent it.
