I485 priority date question. Please help.

My US Citizen wife applied for me in 2017(i130). And the priority date was Feb, 2017. Our i130 was approved Mar,2019 and we were told to apply for i485. However when we received the action notice (I30 approval notice)they changed the priority date from feb,2017 to i130 approval date (mar,2019). When I applied for i485 the priority date is the i130 approval date.

Is this correct? Shouldn’t it be the original priority date?

Recently Someone I know applied for their i485 their priority day is the date they filed i130 back in 2016 not when they got approved.

I am so confused as to why it’s like that, the processing time for i130 is already 10 months at my field office, and considering the priority date on my i485 it may take even longer.

my question is that Is this normal? And what should I do to sort this out. What steps can I take to clarify this.

I don't think the PD matters in your case. They will not rush your case if they see a PD from 2017 because the I485 was filed in June 2019.

PD is important for categories with country quotas, like some EB or FB cases.
