I only just got a text status update that my EAD card had been shipped and giving tracking info, about a month after I had already received it. I think maybe the updates don't go through on time or something.

On another note, have my greencard interview on Tuesday, somewhat worried it will be cancelled for coronavirus panic reasons. Fingerscrossed all goes ahead.

That's how USCIS rolls. No special concern there. But it means they are working on your file. So that's good news.

Hi guys! My ead was on hand yesterday. I applied for the SSN too so maybe the actual card will come next week. I have SSN before which uses for student employment. I heard that the number will never change. Can I just use that number to back to work while waiting for the new ssn card?

Have my greencard interview on Tuesday for marriage based AOS, and just now realised we don't have letters from my wife employer(s) for I-864. Gonna try to get them by Tuesday but she's employed by a public school district and it is now spring break. Are we screwed? We have pay slips, W2s, and can probably get a copy of her contract which would have all same info as employer letter.

No sense worrying about what you can't change. Get what you can. Sounds like you have lots of other proof of employment and income. It'll be okay.

I just was in my local Social Security Office to ask what’s about my SSN, because it still didn’t come and it’s already 2 weeks since my EAD came... and they said they don’t take SSN forms right now and they can’t tell me any informations due to COVID-19 :| they said to come after 3-4 weeks or so again...

What should I do now? I can’t even start working without my SSN, can’t do Driver’s License... this sucks :/

I had my green card interview today at St. Louis field office. Just home now. All went great and the lady was very nice, arrived at 1.45 for a 2.10pm appointment. We were called in just after 2pm and finished by 2.30pm. Me and my wife were in the same room for all questioning.

Everything was pretty straight forward. Firstly asked us to verify lots of our own personal information, then asked questions like how we met, where we went on our first date, why we broke up originally (we dated for a month, were just friends for 7 months, then dated seriously for 1 year before getting engaged/married.), when we moved in together, where we travelled together, who attended our wedding. They also asked for more proof of shared assets etc, we provided shared car insurance, renters insurance, joint account statements, proof of being beneficiaries on retirement accounts. But nothing difficult to answer or deal with overall.

Happy to answer any questions. Was pretty nervous going in but didn't need to be at all in the end.

At the end she said she couldn't confirm if I was approved but that all seemed good to her and that she needed to review everything before submitting the application for a greencard. Also said that once she approves it I should get the card very quickly. Seems positive to me.
