  • Please help me :( adjustment of status overstay

Hi guys, I have a question regarding my immigration status

I come to the united states on b1/b2 visa on February 24th 2019 with I-90 stamp that expires in August 25th, 2019.
In mid-July I got married to my boyfriend and we file the paperwork right away.

In August 21st 2019, I receive a receipt letter from USCIS with a case type " I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status".

My question is since my I-90 stamp expires on August 25th, am I considered overstaying my Visa?
Is the receipt means that they already process the application?
I was really scared of overstaying my visa because from what I heard, its a really bad travel record.

Also a couple of days ago I got an email from USCIS stating that my interview was canceled, but the thing is I didn't even get an appointment yet,
I'm really confused about what's going on... I also still didn't receive my EAD card and it been almost 4 months.

Thank you for reading my post
I'm so glad I found this forum because we can help one and each other since we were on the same journey together
    I hope everybody good luck

You're not overstaying, your status is an adjustment of status applicant. USCIS sometimes glitches about interviews. You can always try calling and asking. EADs take a while.
    3/3/19 - filed
    3/6/19 - received by USCIS
3/12/19 - texts received, checks cashed
    3/16/19 - receipt notices received
    3/23/19 - bio. notices for 4/4
    3/29/19 - biom. walk-in
    6/17/19 - EAD expedite request
7/16/19 - card is being produced
    7/18/19 - EAD mailed
7/19/19 - approval notices for EAD
    7/20/19 - combo cards received
8/6/19 - ready to be sch. for an interview
    12/10/19 - interviews scheduled
    12/16/19 - interview notices for 1/14/20
    1/14/20 - interview & approval
    1/18/20 - card delivered

I don’t think you are overstaying. Your AOS application was processed a few days before August 25th so don’t worry about it. Once the AOS application has started, you are allowed to stay in the US. I do suggest that you hire a lawyer to get professional help.
