    Dear all,

"Someone" came to our house few weeks before the interview, knocked at the door and ask if the husband is at home. Mother inlaw did not allow her to come in and told her we are not home that she is babysitting. The visitor again asked if the husband lived here, mother inlaw again responded that we are not at home. Mother inlaw did not respond yes or no to the question "does the husband live here?". This is because she said she is unaware if we are expecting a visitor. We presume this is from USCIS.

We had our interview couple of days ago, there was no yes or no questions, we were only asked about how we met, my husband was also asked about his ex-wife, and if he pays alimony to his ex, he responded that he does. The officer also asked me (i am the wife and a USC) if i am sure my husband wont leave me and i responded in the affirmative yes. There was no more questions. She never mentioned if someone visited or not. And she ask us to wait and handed us a letter requesting my husband to provide evidence that he pays alimony to his ex. The officer also requested that he provides more document showing the divorce. We only had 2 car documents and insurance. We do not have bank account cos my husband does not have EAD yet and we couldnt open account yet. We do not have lease together yet and this is because we plan to move from the house we currently live. I am currently on section 8 (ie government assisted housing) and i will be going out of it by next month since my husband and i decided to get an apartment together.

After the interview, the officer we are close to what she can approve but that we still have some differences and that she wont tell us what it is. She also mentioned that based on the fact that my husband is from (she mentioned his country which is in Africa) and the amount of fraud from there, that he has a lot of hurdle to cross.

At this point, we dont know what to expect. My husband is making arrangement to send the document the officer requested though.

I will like you all to advise based on your wealth of experience
