Request for name change

Hello everyone!

Filling for AoS Marriage based.

When I submitted my application, I put everything with my maiden name since the only document I have has it (passport/visa)

I’d like to take my husbands name and my interview has just been scheduled. Can I request that during the interview? Has anybody been through that?

I have read a few posts from people that did that. In one case they didn't change the name on the GC the others the GC arrived with the married name.

Maybe you can bring a letter asking for your married name to be on your GC and give it to the IO. Good luck.

Hello, I am on the same situation. Please let me know what worked for you. I don't want to pay another fee to change my name to my new married name on all paperwork.
