just to add more good news to this thread, my combo card arrived today! So in case you're wondering, it took 2 days to be mailed after approval, and 2 days to arrive. Only 7 days has passed from "new card is being produced" to having it in my hands. So keep your hopes up, as once it's approved, you'll receive it VERY soon!!

Hi everyone,

Congrats on the progress with your applications, so happy to see that we're not all on hold anymore!

About my case, unfortunately nothing new. No biometrics yet, no decision about my expedite request from 08/06.
The ombudsman's office still has not come back to me after contacted USCIS on 08/19.
Oh and my Inquiry for "out of normal processing time" for i-131 on 08/21, has not been assigned to an officer yet.

I wrote to the senator's office today...We'll see if something moves then.

Deeps87 This is great news! This is exactly what I was hoping for, that since we’ve waited for so long, we might get GC interview before EAD arrives so at the end there will be no need for EAD. My only worry is that it’s not gonna be the case for everyone. Since USCIS averted furloughs, they’ve said that they’ll have to cut budget which means processing delays. I assume this is the reason they changed EAD processing time to 29-37 months.

So at the end of the day we might get EAD or GC interview in next month or maybe 6 or maybe a year, who knows. I guess got the interview, it all comes down to FO.

Anyway, really happy that your case moved so fast and your journey is coming to an end soon. Best of luck and keep us posted!

The last status I had on my I-485 was "Case is Ready to be Scheduled for An Interview" and this afternoon it got updated to "Interview Was Scheduled" and they will mail me an interview notice. I am so happy that things are moving so fast for me but I also don't want to get too excited because its USCIS so you never know...I am trying to hold my excitement until I get the actual notice in mail. I have no update on my EAD after the fingerprints though.


Here's my updated timeline so far:

3/16: Package sent to USCIS Chicago Lockbox
3/17: Package received by USCIS
3/20: Credit Card charged
3/24: Text notification from USCIS
3/27: 4 NOA/ I-767 Receipts in mail
7/31: Biometrics Appointment Letter in mail
8/10: Biometrics Completed
8/10: Online Case Status (I-485 & I-765) changed to Fingerprints were taken
8/11: Online Case Status (I-485) changed to Case is Ready to be Scheduled for An Interview
8/27: Online Case Status (I-485) changed to Interview Was Scheduled

Hello, I was wondering what times do you get notifications for your updates? I'm in PST and I usually get updates at 12:00, 4;00 and 8:00

Umm the last couple of updates I received were around 9pm EST and the one that I just got today was around 3:00pm EST.
