  • Case approved without interview

    Hello everyone!

I’ve seen threads on two different forums (******** & ***********) reporting cases of Green Card approval without interviews.

On those cases, the interviews were already previously scheduled and cancelled due to the Covid-19 shutdown.

Has that happened to anyone in this forum as well? Curious to know more and try to understand USCIS criteria during this critical moment.

    Thanks in advance!

I’ve seen two posts about this but there were 2 things both cases had in common 1. They had sent in their medical 2. They had interviews in March that was canceled. Well have to wait this week to see if more people who are marriage based and not K1 will be approved to say so for sure.
    Marriage AOS (from tourist visa)
Received Nov 4th& Priority Date also Nov 4th
I130 i485 & work permit (did not apply for travel documents )

Nov 15 received 2 hard copies for NOA
Nov 22 Received biometrics appointment Notice
    Biometrics done, Dec 2nd.

Jan 6 2020 courtesy letter for missing medical (dated Dec 31 2019, mailed Jan 2nd 2020)
Ready to be scheduled for interview (Jan 31st 2020)

I don't think they will be able to approve a case if they don't have the I693.

If they start sending RFE for I693 we will now that the case has a chance to be approved without an interview.

And I’m wondering if they’ll even request that people go get that done now, in a time like this where most places are under lockdown

I did my medical exam after the I485 received date so USCIS told me that my form valid for 2 years. On the RFE they requested me to send that form out before June 20th.

Thanks man. So you mean you originally will bring the medical exam to the interview, right (suppose the interview did not get cancelled)?
