  • April 2020 Filers

In keeping with what seems to be an immihelp tradition, this is a thread for people filing to adjust status in April 2020. If you're as nervous and unsure about the whole process as I am, please share your timeline here.

    F2A adjusting from F1
Filing I-130 and I-485 (+ I-131 and I-765) concurrently (as F2A category is current on the April Visa Bulletin)

04/18: Sent off via USPS to the Chicago lockbox
04/23: Marked as 'DELIVERED' by USPS at 1:30am

I sent my package using USPS's certified mail service but have yet to receive the physical delivery receipt.

Still USCIS is doing Finger printing for Apr/1/2020 filer(AOS) where as if you have finger printing already there(4 yrs old for H1B) with USCIS?
Do they provide EAD without finger printing ? How much time they will take for EAD approval ?

I've seen cases where old biometrics were applied to recently filed cases. Might work out well for you.

I also haven’t received any notification (electronically or in the mail) from USCIS yet either. Was surprised how quickly they charged my card.

They are currently close and might understaff, so you soon get your NOA

Got 4 text messages this morning. When I looked up the case numbers on USCIS’s website, it said they’d received my forms on 04/22, one day before USPS marked them as delivered. I assume that’ll be my priority date. For the I-485, the status was that they’d accepted the fingerprint fee. This is all going surprisingly quickly.

04/18: Sent off via USPS to the Chicago lockbox
                      04/22: Priority date

04/27: USCIS accepted the I-485 fingerprint fee
04/29: Received 4 text messages with case numbers

I sent the forms thru USPS on 13th Apr, and it was delivered to the Chicago Drop Box on the 15th. But I haven't heard a peep from that end and the check hasn't been cashed out. What should I do?

                          Hello all,

I'm an April filer! Mine is asylum-based. Does anyone here know if USCIS looks at tax returns for asylum-based applications?

Looking forward to this journey with you all,
                          Sam

Do you know anyone in this forum who got their biometric appointment waived (based on old biometric)?
