  • How long it takes for attorneys to prep i-140/485?

    Hi!

I got my PERM approved last week, this weekend I submitted all the documents to the firm's attorney. Usually how long it takes for them to prep the I-140/485/combo cards? My date is current so we will proceed with the concurrent filing.

I don't want to annoy them before what is considered "normal" time to create all the forms/ petitions.

    Thanks in advance

It took us less than an hour, we are not lawyers and never used any. The longer they 'work' on your case, the more they can negotiate in payment. Besides if they are immigration lawyers they already know the forms, it's just to put your information in. It is fair that you keep checking in with them.

Well you should give attorney ample time to prepare the documents. These documents are very critical and your dates are current, hence you should not worry about it.
