AOS from 245i help

If someone is adjusting status based on 245i (based on labor cert.)leave the US and return without inspection can you still adjust status or not and if so would you apply for a I-601 and or I-601A with the AOS? I would appreciate any advice.Thanks

If the person accrued more than 1 year of unlawful presence, and left and tried to re-enter the US illegally, they trigger a lifetime 9C ban, and this cannot be overcome for immigrants unless they are outside the US for 10 years continuously (I-212 can be filed for 9C ban only after the person has been outside the US for 10 years).
