EB3 Date Retrogession
Hello,
I have a question with regards to the retrogession in priority dates for I-485. I filed my Labor Certification in July 2001 and it got approved in Jan 2002. I filed my I-140 in March 2002 and it got approved in July 2002. I waited for about 2 years before filing my I-485 in July 2004. If I understand the concept of Priority Dates correctly, then that would mean I actually stand to benefit from the retrogession in dates since they only look at when the Labor Certification was filed. Since mine was filed in July 2001, I should not be affected and my I-485 would be approved much faster than what I was expecting. Am I correct in my understanding? Please clarify.
