I 485 rfe

Hi,

Both my wife and I applied for aos on March, 2019. Our i-140 was approved on last March and we received an rfe for 485 two months ago. USCIS asked us to send new passport size photos of us. Does anybody know why ? We sent those 6 weeks ago and no updates yet. Will they approve our case without an interview ? Does anyone have similar experience?

Possibly due to the requirement that photographs need to be recent.

Or maybe the photos you sent didn’t meet the specified requirements. It can or could be anything.

Thanks for your responses. But they used same photos for our ead. May be they need our recent photos to process our 485s. I have heard that some of the 485s were approved without interviews after USCIS asked new photos. That is why I am curious.

Sure, that’s more like it then! Hopefully you’ve been approved without the need of/for an interview. Please provide an update when you know more.

Hi,

Seems like they approved our cases without the interview. Case status changed to Card is being processed. But, never changed to case is approved. Hope we will get our green cards soon. Our files were in NBC at all time never transferred to FO, which is San Antonio.

Congratulations ,
case will be updated to approved after new card is being produced, you should receive your cards within a month. I have to say this was fast even compared to other employment based. Enjoy
