  • Blank RFE...what to do?

Over 200 days ago I saw online that I had an RFE but it never arrived. I followed up and they said that the RFE is blank and must be a mistake. I did the biometrics and received my EAD but nothing since. No interview and no movement. My EAD will expire in January so I reapplied for another. Case was updated to show finger prints were taken. My wife who is part of my application had a straightforward RFE and the case says that our response was received but never marked approved (150 days ago)

it feels like the case has stalled since online it still shows that I have an RFE outstanding (which was blank). I called them and they said there is no RFE and the case is awaiting for the senior officer to give final approval and the case looks to be in good standing

this is an October 19 filing.

does this sound ok or should I pressure them more since it seems like the file is sitting on someone’s desk and has not moved for a long time.

the second EAD application hopefully makes them look at it again but that may not necessarily mean they will call for interview and issue the GC?

    any thoughts?

Yes call them and ask for a Level 2 Officer to help sort it out.

Is your filing date before the "Receipt date for a case inquiry" listed at https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/ for your case type? If it's not, then your case is still within the normal processing time and I think you should just wait for an update.
