I sent out my I 485 to USCIS by registered mail exactly three weeks ago. I tracked it and knew it was received the following day. I also used the G form for my credit card so that I will know the moment my card is debited. Since three weeks, nothing has happened. No debit to my card, no USCIS response and no application number. Does anyone have similar experience? The application was received by them on August 27 2020. Please share any experience. Thanks.

My packet was received at the Chicago lockbox on 8/19, and I still have no receipt number and they have not cashed my check. Hopefully it is just a backlog. I don’t know why some are getting processed earlier though.

My took about three weeks before my check was cashed. If you are sure your package was received, it will be processed. Mine was processed by 2AM, meaning they work thru the night. Good luck

Patience. I think you do not understand what up to 30 days mean.

You will hear something soon. I know you will hate hearing these words because they get tiresome throughout this arduous process but... be patient. Especially now with COVID, things are taking longer than usual, but you do have to let at least 30 days pass first.
