Hey guys! I'm about to send my mother's AOS application. Aside from the forms, Do I only have to submit my birth certificate to show our relationship? I would appreciate it if you guys tell me what else to submit together with the forms. Thank you!

Hello JFearH,
I'm actually in a same situation with you. I'm currently waiting to receive biometric invitation. Did you receive one? what is your timeline?

Hopefully in a few weeks. You can also check the various month specific threads to see how it is progressing for others. Good luck.
Hope you are doing well. I need your help again. I received RFIE for the birth certificate for both of my parents. See the new thread here for more detail.
Hello Guys, Hoping some of you would be able to provide some guidance. I had sent in my package on Nov 2020 for my mom and dad. Their biometric is scheduled for later this week. To my surprise, I received an RFEI just today stating to provide copy of the birth certificate for the primary applicant. Got a letter for each

Correct about the birth certificate and marriage certificate.
for address you can confirm by looking at the Where to file section for I-485 form on USCIS website. Checks cashed means fees was correct and no obvious/eligibility documents were missing. Only take final green card as the good news. Rest all is wait and hope for the best at each stage. Good luck.

Thank You so much. I printed out all forms, all signed and have some last minute thoughts before mailing it finally. For my mom, my birth certificate is enough to demonstrate relationship between petitioner and benificiary and for my dad, my birth certificate as well as my parents marriage certificate. Correct? Also i am filing at Chicago lockbox since i live in Georgia. Thats correct? Additionally, if my check is cached and if they have accepted it, does it mean that they have quickly glanced it and overall it looks good? Should i take that as a good news?

This is my Dads name on the Passport
Given Names (Three words): L J H
Last Name: L
In all of these forms, should i put it the same exact way? What exactly defines what equals to first name, middle name or last name? In other words, how do i finalize how many words to put in first name, middle name or last name? If I put my dads name exactly it is in the passport then i don't get why we even have a middle name option in these forms?
Additionally, same thing on my US Passport, only has given name such as S G and Last Name G. So should i also put it the same way and leave middle name blank? Please advise, really confused.Last edited by verbose; 11-15-2020, 01:13 PM.
