    Biometrics appointment: 07/20/2021

And now still waiting for the EAD/AP. Also for some reasons the online system never showed that fingerprints were taken and it's been almost two months now.
Almost 9 months now that I have applied for the EAD/AP combo and still nothing. Biometrics were taken on July 20, 2021 (4 months ago!). Anyone with an employment-based application got their EAD/AP card?

Mine is not employment based but I had my biometrics taken on Sept. 8th 2021 and on Nov. 18th received notification that The EAD card was approved. i would try to at least call or chat with Emma and possibly fill out a service request as to why is taking do long

Oh congratulations! one of the lucky ones! My lawyers raised a service request for my AP which was outside of processing times. We never got an answer (even after 45 days). I'm still within the 10-12 months processing time for the i-765 at NSC so I can't technically raise a SR for the EAD yet. I was just curious to see whether things were speeding up.

In cases where the EAD and AP were applied together, even while the time for AP might have crossed, you can't raise a service request unless you are beyond the processing time for 765 as well. I am not sure how your lawyer was able to raise a service request but hope you get your EAD/AP soon.

Also, I have seen that EAD/AP is issued much earlier in FB category whereas in EB category it is usually quite delayed which would be why Smith got his but you didn't get yours yet.

These are just my opinion and I might be wrong so don't lose hope.

I was on H1B visa, and I have approved I-140 for employment based application. My interview was very simple. The first question was "so you have an approved I-140?". I felt like she is ready to approve me at that point. Luckily it's not a difficult experience for me.

I don't understand it either. In a couple of weeks it will have been a full year since I submitted the application. All docs were submitted together (except I-140 since that was approved 4 months before the EB1-C was submitted and we purposely waited until we had an approved I-140 before submitting), no RFE to slow anything down. We paid an immigration attorney to ensure everything was done correctly...and yet....nothing happening.
