April 2021 - AOS filers - Please Join

Hi! I filed on March 21. I was very hesitant on online filing. There wasn’t enough data point about online filing and from what I researched - almost everyone suggest concurrent filing on paper. It was really a surprise to me that it got approved so quickly. Part of the reason that I chose online filing is that I hate to print out all the papers! It was relatively painless to organize the files online. There’s some confusion on online filing though - for example the requirement for photos - it’s not clear that if I should upload the back of the photo with name on (because what’s the point?) I upload it anyway..

Shinchan I am happy for you. It seems like it may be faster to file the I-130 online first and mail the I-485 shortly after like you did, or once the I-130 is approved. I suppose that it may not be as fast if everyone starts doing it that way, but in the mean time...

Sent my AOS packet on April 27th. Received my receipt notices today through EMMA. I would recommend contacting the CIS ombudsman office. They helped me a lot in tracking the packet.

@Shinchan - Same here - Filed I -130 online on 03/17/2021 and received notice of approval on 05/04/2021.
I got the approval after I mailed the 485 packets. Do we have to send a copy of the I-130 approval notice to USCIS?

Just posted the packet for I-485 for my parents.

Question - Should I wait for RFE for I-693 or should I get it done and post it separately?

seageek hi, that's awesome! Congrats on that approval. It seems like filing the I-130 online may be the way to go for now. Your parents will likely get their green card by mail. There is a very good chance that USCIS will waive the interview.

Anyone any receipt number? They received mine on April 16th and still nothing for me! My credit card its not charged and I tried and call them twice , but all they are saying is that I have to wait 60 days.

Hang on SmithB sit tight. it seems these days the minimum wait is anytime from 4 - 8 weeks.

I filed on May 10th and looking at the current trend, I do not anticipate the receipts before the end of June at least. The wait is tough but cant do much here other than wait.
I am guessing too many folks are filing last few months and due to pandemic things are moving slow.

Mine was delivered on 4/9 and I haven’t received anything yet. We’ve called them 7 times since the start of the fourth week after delivery. Nothing found in the system yet. This is so frustrating..

Hello everyone, i need help asap please!!
So i sent in my I-485 package on 4/28, and it was delivered 5/2. I have not received anything back nor my card was charged. Last week my card got stolen and I was issued a new card with different card numbers. How can I change the info on my g-1450 so USCIS can charge the fees and proceed with my application? I’m freaking out.
