Just curious. Considering your case might be in EB1, isn't there a very high probability of you getting your GC soon. Could you not wait for a few more months before you switch? This might avoid all the anxiety.

I am on the same boat. I will complete 1 year in couple of weeks and no information whatsoever. I may consider doing interfile my medical. Worst come worst.. they will take it for good or i need to do another medical.
I am getting some interviews the way it comes rather than looking actively. Mostly i will tell them my position and have to tell them that i dont know when it comes... but it will come one day but i have EAD to be used interim + I485J to be supplied.

What you are saying is absolutely true and Valid. I am on EB1 category. Meanwhile, I have lost 3 great opportunities in the last 2 months. With my application ending up in Nebraska (Transferred from NBC, where I originally applied), I do not know when NSC will ever approve. With their lead times showing 10.5m to 19m. I think I have to wait atleast 3-4 more months before I take a firm decision and I hope I get GC approved by then. I am so frustrated that this entire waiting game is so absurd irrespective of which EB category we are in. I was under the impression EB1s will move faster but it seems the complete opposite now!

I just hit 15 months of waiting (EB1-C)....it's unbelievable how they manage their timelines. Maks no sense the order they do things.

our I-485 was not filed along with I-140.. but I-485 was transferred to Nebraska. It’s been 2 days after I-140 approval but no updates to I-485.
I have a very similar time line like yours. My 140 was filed in Jan-2021 and was approved in Feb-2022. I filed 485 in May-2021. Its been 3 months my 140 is approved and I have no update on my 485. Hence, expecting a 485 approval very soon may be unlikely.

I have the exact same timelines as yours for I140 and 485 filing except my 140 was sent a RFE and I submitted a response a couple of weeks back and waiting for a decision on my 140.

I believe all 485s from Nebraska and Texas are being moved to NBC. So just wait for a transfer nice and then you should get a response soon after. All the best to get your GC soon.

Thanks Shiva! I wish you get a decision on your 140 very soon as they are processing 140 applications now at a great pace at Nebraska.

That's awesome news. They take only about 3-4 weeks. Expect to receive your GC before end of June.

                          • The processing time at Nebraska and Texas and certain other service centers are moved back. Nebraska and Texas will be processing 80% of the cases in 32.5 months. Earlier it was 12 months. For May 2021 filings, we need to wait till Dec 2024.

                              • "Total guess" or I assume that I am part of the 20% of cases that are not processed within 8 months because I have been waiting for 226 days for my EAD under category c9 is still being "actively" review by USCIS.
Obviously, my I 485 is being "actively" review by USCIS but no appointment for interview yet.
