I-485 - unable to obtain birth certificate Saudi Arabia

Hi,

My I-485 approval is pending until I present an official bitty certificate. I submitted an English translated birth registration form from the Riyadh hospital I was born at but they have sent a letter requesting for evidence of birth certificate.

I am Saudi born but was an Indian citizen while in Saudi 20 years ago and had an Indian embassy birth registration form issued to me. I not have any other documents for birth.

I also haven’t had any success in getting response from Saudi civil affairs Riyadh to request for birth certificate as recommended by my lawyer.

What’s the next best way to proceed?

should I call the Indian embassy of Riyadh?

my lawyer here in US says I need to figure out the obtaining of the birth certificate documents on my own or obtain a non availability of birth certificate from the government and can’t do much else for me. Issue is I don’t know who to contact even for the Nonavailability of birth certificate.

how do I approach this issue?

please anyone with similar experience please advise.

Hi,
If you have no birth certificate or the current one is not meeting the actual requirements then you can consider providing secondary evidence such as, religious or school records, hospital or medical records, affidavits of birth, Insurance records, Employment records, Financial records, Government records.
Regarding affidavit, you can get two affidavits from the two different person who know very well about your birth.
Regarding certificate of unavailability, you can approach local recordkeeping body in the locality where you were born.
There is always solution for Birth certificate issue. Kindly gather as much as documents and discuss with your Attorney then move forward.
