For those who didnt receive their SSN and EAD before green card.

How did yall go about applying for the SSN? My current(foreign) passport is expired. I can only renew it next year at our consulate here (coz of COVID) couldn't get an earlier appointment. Had to use my expired pp for the gc interview. I do have another US-based id can I use that instead? Any help or advice is appreciated. I hope this post helps others in similar positions in this immigration journey. Thanks in advance.

Your green card would be one of the documents. If you have a driver's license or state ID that can be the other document.

My country has an extended 1 year for expired passport due to COVID also can issue an emergency one ( like a piece of paper or something) check what your is doing if they have extended period just show the expired passport with a print out of the rule for extension or something
