  • Priority Dates

My priority date is March 01 2001 current under
DATES FOR FILING FAMILY-SPONSORED VISA APPLICATIONS
I was doing some research and I was reading that
"Applicants for immigrant visas who have a priority date earlier than the application date in the chart below may assemble and submit required documents to the Department of State’s National Visa Center, following receipt of notification from the National Visa Center containing detailed instructions"
My question is I have not received a receipt of notification from the National Visa Center containing detailed instructions. Im a bit confused... If my priority date is current under DATES FOR FILING FAMILY-SPONSORED VISA APPLICATIONS I thought I would be filing with USCIS NOT the national visa center.
How would the national visa center even know my address and send me detailed instructions.

My category is u F2B under Mexico

Are you in the US or outside the US?

When USCIS approved the I-130, they sent it to NVC, so NVC has the petitioner's address and beneficiary's address from the I-130.

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.
