  • April 2022 concurrent filers report!

    Hi there,

I haven't seen any posts about this, so I thought I'd create this one so we can maybe help each other out.

    Filed for: 1-485 (Family-based - US citizen for children under 21)/ I-130/ I-131(Advance Parole)/ I-765.

April 5th 2022 - Sent to lockbox in Chicago
    April 18th 2022 - PD
    June 3rd 2022- Biometrics Appointment
October 18th 2022 - Request for Initial evidence

I haven't heard anything since from any of the forms filed. Apparently, all the forms are being processed by NBC, and the I-485 at Kendall, FL. Anyone with a similar timeline?

    Hi friend,

Looks like our timelines are pretty similar. I filed for: I-485 (family-based, spouse of US citizen), I-130, I-765, I-131.

    April 29, 2022 - Mailed packet
May 4, 2022 - Application was received by USCIS
    May 20, 2022 - Request for Evidence
    June 7, 2022 - Biometrics appointment
July 21, 2022 - Response to RFE was received by USCIS

My case is being processed by NBC, too (my I-485 at the Portland, OR office). My I-765 has been marked as "being actively reviewed by USCIS" since June 7, 2022.

I hope you case gets approved soon! Keep us posted

          Hi all, quick update:

I received a courtesy notice from USCIS today. The notice states that my I-485 has been transferred to a field office for review and adjudication, and that my application "may be adjudicated without an interview." It also says: "to expedite the processing of your Form I-485, please submit a valid and unexpired Form I-693 (Report of Medical Examination and Vaccination Record)."

I have read different things online about what this kind of letter means. I'm staying optimistic and hoping it means I just need to mail my I-693 and the interview may well be waived! The weird thing is, I still don't have my work permit or travel document.

If anyone is on a similar timeline, please share.

Another update: my I-130 got approved today. Hoping it means my I-485 will get approved in the coming weeks/months! Still no EAD.

That's so frustrating, Linux336. I don't understand what the delay is for, either. I've seen others in that same situation on this forum—just waiting and waiting between the I-130 approval and the I-485 approval. I don't think USCIS knows what they're doing half the time...

Looks like your mom got her EAD approved, at least? That's really great.

I just contacted my U.S. senator for an expedite request for my EAD. I know expedite requests are not usually successful, but it's something to try, especially after over a year without work.

I hope your mom gets her green card very very soon now.
