  • Will moving affect our I-485 processing?

    Hi All,

Our I-140 has been approved in Aug '04 and we got the EAD too in May '04, but our I-485 is stuck (pending) because of this retrogression (priorty date). Our processing center is Vermont, and currently we are in California and we are planning to move to Atlanta in coulpe of months (probably around May). My question here is, will this moving form California to Atlanta affect our I-485 processing in VSC? Please help me... I don't know whether I can move or not. Someone told me that I should not change the address and moving form one state to another state while I-485 is in process will be a problem. Is that true? Thanks in advance for you help.

    Hi
I had the same issue . I moved my address from NH to MO . Follow the usual procedure filing AR-11 and notify NSC thru phone - they will change your address in all your applications. my GC approved as per normal time frame and the biggest advantage is that you can go to the local center at your new place for your finger prints and passport stamping .
    Hope this helps.
