  • Fingerprints re-taken after receiving card

I received my green card on Dec 15 2010. On Dec 29 I got an appointment notice to have my fingerprints re-taken because the "FBI was unable to process your fingerprint card".

Is there a possibility that the green card was produced by mistake? I called USCIS customer service buy they couldn't give me any further information.

    Thank you for your answer.

Just go ahead and attend the Fp appointment and give your prints. Has happened to couple of people.

Your GC is fine and was not approved in error.

I am not a lawyer and you need to consult with one to validate any info posted on the forum and discuss your case specifics. H1b Question? Read the FAQ first.

I went to the Immigration office today to check if my green card was revoked. The good news is that it wasn't revoked, but my application is still pending. They produced the document before the FBI ok.

I need to have the fingerprints re-taken, but since I had surgery in one finger, I assume that the fingerprints won't come out ok. They told me that I should get letter of clearance from the police.

I didn't ask if it should be the city, county or state police department. Any help will be highly appreciated.
