  • What is going on??

I am in bit of a situation here.

Status - My I485 was file in Sep 10 and FP was done in Dec 10. I recd my EAD and AP. The case was filed in Lincoln, NE

Issue - I recd a 797C letter on 24th/25th of Jan 11 stating that my case has been trfd to Lee Summit, MO on 18th Jan, 11

I check online, it says my case has been trfd to Lincoln, NE

The automated service says, my case is in St.Albans, Vermont.

The customer service I called says my case in in Lincoln, NE.

All of the above status was changed on 18th Jan, 11.

And when I talked to the Cust Serv rep with 1800 number for uscis and stated my problem, she escalated my call to another cust serv. The guy there very calmly told me it doesnt matter, all uscis offices are ONE and I should not worry where the case is and I shud only be concerned with approval. So I asked him on status of my case and he said ...it can take years..... I was like why does different method show diff update and he was like - DO YOU HAVE ANY OTHER QUES... so I left it at that.

Can anybody decipher this for me...TIA

The best you can do is make an ionfo pass with your local office through USCIS web page and see where your case is. Try that and good luck hope you get some info
