Appreciate any help with this query:
My I485 application was filed in October of '03 (added to my husband's application). When I check the status of my case using my receipt number, I get a response that it is taking from 365 to 540 days to process these cases. So according to this I still have some time to wait. I haven't been fingerprinted as yet.
Now when I check the current processing dates of Vermont Service Center (where my application is filed), it says that they are processing applications from March of 04!!
Now I am a bit confused (and worried); should I wait out my 540 or so days or should I call the 1-800 number and speak to them??
