  • PLEASE, i don't know what to do!!Help

    Hi everybody,

I came to the U.S on a fiancee VISA, a K1, and a month after i came, i got married to the american citizen who was my fiancee, after that i waited because we didn't have enough money to file for adjustment of status, i already had a work authorization for three months that i got at JFK at the airport in New York, so i got a job now at BB&T, and my work aothorization just expired, and i need to file for adjustment of status as its been more than three months since i came here and im still under that visa...

Last week i efiled finally for the work authorization renewal and two days later sent the adjustment of status papers and check to the immigration people, unfortunatly, my husband was the one taking care of all the things and he sent the papers to the wrong adress, now we need to send everything AGAIN to chicago, but i am so worried because my work authorization that i paid almost 200 dollars for was denied because my husband efiled it under my K1 status while we are actually married, he didnt know any better...
Are we gonna get a refund? what should i do? i have all the papers sitting at home for adjustment of status, and my work authorization denial sitting there too, and my boss is waiting for me because they think it's just pending... what's the fastest way to do all of this and how to get a refund???

    Please help ASAP,
    Thanx

i think nina is correct, bcis can't refund you since it was an error on your part. however, bcis has known to make corrections at no extra charge, if you can somehow show that it was partially their mistake.
considering your complicated and urgent situation, best at this time would be to spend a little extra and go thru' a very good lawyer for further filing
      good luck
