H1B marrying US citizen

Hi,

I married a US citizen but still currently working on my H1B . my husband filed for AOS and i have recieved interview call. i want to know when can i leave my job on H1B? also leaving my job means cancelling my H1B...will that affect me staying in the US.
I am currently staying with my husband and want to quit and take a break. will that affect me staying in the US. also how early can i start working again?
any input would be appreciated.

As long as you have filed I-485, you can legally stay in the U.S. and you don't H1B visa anymore.

However, in order to work, you will have to first get EAD approved.

if my H1B is cancelled before i get my green card what is the outcome?
i am currently waiting to appear for my visa interview in jan 2012. but my H1B will be cancelled before that.
can i stay legally in US?
