I-485 approval

Hi:
I've got my I-485 approval notice(I-797) in April and I've got my Green Card stamp already. One month later, I got a letter for finger print(I-797C). Does anyone have the same situation before? Why I need to do finger print again? Can anyone tell me the answer. Thanks.

It might have been sent in error...please check your finger print notice carefully; usually it will say that if your I485 application was approved then you should ignore this notice.
If not, then please call the USCIS 1-800 number to clarify..

Sometimes they will reopen the case.It happened to me..See my other thread..

I got approved in Dec 2004..Within a week they asked me to send the medicals..the status changed in the site from Approved to Blah blah..

We sent the medicals....we got the approval notice again this month..It said Duplicate Approval Notice..This time I took it for stamping without wasting anytime..

Hopefully I won't get another ...and another..

Always do whatever the notice says..follow the chronological order..Is your FP notice dated after your Approval notice...If Yes..Just Do an InfoPass..You have got nothing to lose..

Just go there..don't confuse them by saying ..I am approved blah..blah..Just give the FP notice..get FPed..go home..Good Luck buddy..
