    Hello All,

I will be in US by June and need to leave the country for a work purpose. Remaining 7 moths, I will be coming back and forth the US every month at least twice for weekends and some holidays. I will be fulfill the 180 days with these trips, but still I am wondering if it cause any kind of problem when I get in the interview because I will be getting in and out many times. By the way, I will be eligible for application in December 11th.

    Any idea?

    thanks

You will be in the US by June? You're abroad? Living abroad? It's unclear. If you're still living in the US, and only travelling for work, it isn't a problem. Make sure you keep track of these dates. You will need to fulfill the physical presence (2.5 out of 5 years in the US) and continuous residence requirements by the time you apply.

      First of all,

      thank you for your response.

I have been in US since March 2009. I've been out side of US in total 36 days during these years. I'm still in US and will be by June. I will travel for work but I would need to stay there 1 year or so if I go there. I will be coming to US back and forth multiple times till December 2013( thats the month I can apply for citizenship) , but my only concern is that would they ask me why I have Canada work visa and why I am going back and forth many times?

      thanks

Ah, so you have a Canadian visa, and will be paid in Canada? Is it for a US company? Look at the application for to preserve residence for naturalisation purposes (N470). If you don't qualify for the N470, then you should have some proof that this assignment abroad is temporary (with a fixed end date that you can prove). Without the N470, it would be best to wait until you are done with your temporary assignment abroad.
