HI..my date of entry was 7/26/2001 and POE was detroit.When can I expect my plastic card.I am moving Sept 12th to another state...will the green card be forwarded or is there a change of address form i can fill out.

You are actually required by law to send a change of address form AR-11 to INS within 10 days after moving.
Unfortunately, INS is known to often ignore these forms. So you also should instruct your post office to forward your mail.

My POE was Detroit, July 28. I hope that, like you, the plastic card arrives in 9 weeks.
Of the 3 immigration photos that were requested by the Chennai consulate, 2 were in the sealed packet handed to the immigration authorities, and 1 was stapled to the inside of the front cover of my passport. This was untouched by the Detroit immigration. Did you have a similar experience? I am worried that the 3rd photo would have been necessary for the plastic card. Please advise.

Change of Address

You mentioned to inform the Post Office to forward mails. But I recall the envelope that enclose the plastic card is stamped as " Do Not Forward".
Will Post Office actually forward the mails when they do have them?

The envelopes containing the card do not have this marking.
At least, the one I got didn't.
As for the photos, only the 2 photos in the sealed envelope are needed for card production.
I think some consulates want to have a third photo just in case one of the others is not good enough.
