Palstic Card for Those Who Entered through CA

Anybody recently received their plastic cards, for POE through California?

I coatacted a congressman aid. After she spoke with CSC, she told me my plastic card is not expected until 1101. And my port of entry date is Novemer 2000. That means it is going to take a year for those who entered through California around November 2000. @#%$'t that long, and is that right?

Can anybody make a posting here, if you received your card and you entered through CA after Nov0100?

I was told by the INS officer that I would
get the plastic card in 9 months. I believe
you can file form G-731C after 60 days of
your date of entry into the US to check the status
of your plastic GC at CSC. This form is available
on the INS Website.

How do we get this form G-731C to the INS. Can we do it by fax ? If so do you have any information about the fax number. Thank you for the information and would appreciate a feed back.

entered LAX

I went to INS CSC to enquire about my plastic card- one month after my date of entry.
The lady told me that my file has not come from LAX and that it comes in a batch every
3 or 6 months. She also told me that you are not in the system!! Since I had gone to SSA
office and got my new SS cards- I countered that I am definitely in the system!! Then she
went to another screen and checked my status-- and there I could see my data and port
of entry, parents name , EB approval etc. Most of these IIO don't know what they are talking
about and must be minimum wage employees!! She told that it could take upto a year to
get the plastic.. But 90 days after they receive the file, they'll issue the card. To file G731 you
must wait for 60 days after DOE. But till they have received the file from POE, CSC can't
give any answer.

I could have carried my file from LAX :-) since CSC is very close to my home. I'll keep
checking every two/three weeks..

Useless to file Form G-731

It seems to me it's virtuly useless to file G-731, to inqurie the status of issuing plastic card. I filed one and have never heard anything back from INS, and I don't know anyone who has been responded on G-731.
