  • After Divorce, (arrived K-1) Philippines, how long am I responsible for ex-wife??

Came to USA on K-1, 6-2012.
    -married 7-2012
-she returned to Phils. 2-13, stayed 5 and 1/2 months
-after returning, admitted adultery, signed documents in attorneys office, and said, she just wanted to return to Phils.
-divorce in South Carolina is lengthy, divorce was final 10-1 2014. She went back to Phils. 5-1-2014, married a German and moved to Germany.
-her 2 yr. GC just expired, and she is in Germany.
-there is "NO WAY" for to ROC, as she is just not here, and cannot file to ROC from Germany.

-Main question, does this end my responsibility as far as including her on any future I-864 (if I would ever want to do that, another K-1) since, she cannot ever file for ROC???

Very new to this site, any answers or opinions, or advice, it would be much appreciated!

This is a more interesting saga than most we see on the forum.

So long as she stays outside the U.S., and/or does not obtain a continuation of her Green Card status, you no longer have a sponsorship commitment

Still, if you petition another fiancee, within two years of your first petition, you will have to submit a simple narrative requesting a waiver from the bar against a second i-129F submittal in a two-year period.
