10 Year GC Renewal

Hi All,

My GC is to expire within the next 30 days. My Biometrics Appointment is scheduled for next friday. I Read another thread that the center was able to extend the GC while waiting for the rest of the renewal process. Is this something i can ask if they can extend my card/status while my renewal is processing?

You can get Temporary I-551 Stamps on your passport from your local USCIS office. You may want to get the stamp if you have travel plans.

No travel plans. Just don't want to not have any issues with my employment, pulled over my Border Patrol or at their check point and i provide my GC. Just concerned about carrying a expired GC in my wallet.
