  • reentry permit collection at nearest consulate

    dear sir,
I filed for reentry permit few month ago and I got the approval recently .I chose to collect at US consulate in Singapore. I received tracking no for my document via case status update . the tracking shows it is delivered to DULLES VA 20189. is that location is a transit ?

how will I know my document is delivered to consulate and collection procedure ?

I still haven't received approval notice and futhur instruction from them . its been a week .when can I expect to receive this ?

I would be appreciated if someone is able ti help me with an answer .

    thank you so much

sorry I could not visit as I was busy with work.. I got my permit.. you need to fill that form in USCIS web page about travel document not delivered. Please specify that you requested the travel document to be delivered to the consulate... They ll send you an email that ll say that your travel doc was mailed to the consulate and if the consulate gives in writing that they don't have it , they ll send another copy.. Use that letter to enter the consulate ..they ll search for it and I am sure it will be there...carry your passport and green card with u..

Dulles virginia is the diplomatic mailing service ...document from USCIS is delivered to dulles post office , diplomatic parcel service , and gets sorted and delivered to the cnsulate...the consulate is suppose to send you a letter..but they quite often procrastinate...my document was lying there for 50 days...

The USCIS telephone service is useless..even the so called "upper tier" immigration officials don't understand the process and are poorly informed and not really helpful .And they are impolite on top of that...
