Applied Spouse's I-485 after 6 mths of my I-485...

I Filed my I-485 during 10/99. I then got married and subsequently filed her I-485 during 05/00. Recently I got my approval but she has not yet received hers. Can I safely assume that she will be approved automatically as a dependant and quit working for my current employer.

Also, when might we expect her approval, should n't it have been approved along with mine though filed later...
