  • Plastic card received - consular processing

    POE: Newyork JFK, 08/06/2000
    Consular Processign: Mumbai, India
    PD: March 1, 1996, EB3, INDIA
Received card: 11/02/2000 for both me and my wife.
Card was originally sent on October 2nd week and was returned back to TSC for wrong address on 10/19/2000. Called TSC to check the status of my card on 10/25/2000. Then came to know the card was returned to them. Corrected the address, they said it is going to take 30 days to resend but received it on 11/02/2000.
    Permanent resident from 08/06/2000 (DOE).

Thanks.. Hope this helps and Wish everybody good luck.

        POE

POE=Port of Entry. The airport/border crossing where you enter the US.
The importance for CP is that you get the passport stamped at the POE, i.e., people who did CP become Permanent Residents at the POE.

For people who did AOS, the I-485 approval date is the ***** date.
