My Aunt was awarded Diversity Lottery visa/green card in late 1990s. She and her 2 minor sons moved to US and after a year or so had to return to their country. However, due to some extra ordinary circumstances and family issues they could not return. Very recentlly, she and her sons who have turned adult now applied for green card again. Her request was denied whereas her sons request was approved (and they moved to US and got their green cards). Someone advised my aunt to get someone to file a petition in US to get their green card reinstated. Is there such a thing? What legal or documentary process is applicable here? Appreciate the advice, thank you!
