Hello you all, I'll try to be short and clear.
My temporary GC will expire early September. I already know how to apply for the permanent one (in my case, File a Divorce Waiver With Form I-751 early June).
BUT, after a rough year, I'm not sure I want to stay in the US. I'm about to take a long break in France, 3/4 months, to think things over and sort things out.
It might be a definitive move. Or not. I may decide to come back.
So I believe it is reasonable to still apply for the permanent GC, just in case.
Can I do this from abroad, and maybe work with the US Embassy?
Or should I take care of it before I leave and come back for the interview?
Thank you for help and tips!
