My husband obtained his green card 1 year ago and we have been married for 2 years. Although we both still care for each other greatly, our lives are heading in different directions and we think a divorce might be in the future. What are the implications of divorce for him? Would he get to keep his green card?

i don't think you guys need to go for 2nd interview since you are married for 2 years. that is just my assumption, but if u really really want to help him just don't get legally divorce until you get a letter from uscis.Originally posted by DMX View PostMy husband obtained his green card 1 year ago and we have been married for 2 years. they will send you a list of paper work that u must submit to them to show that you guys actually establish a life together....more pic, tax returns, apartment lease, health insurance, blah blah all that annoying paper work. wait for like 6 months to make sure USCIS don't require anything else. then u can get legally divorce. he will get green card and will be free to marry once again. just make sure that ur bf don't need a green card lol cuz u will have a lot explaining to do lol.Originally posted by DMX View PostThank you. Can you tell me what that second interview would be for?
A little more information, he has a category E27 green card. I believe this is a non-conditional green card? But I could be wrong on that.

Did you guys marry before you got LPR status? You applied LPR status along with your husband's name, so he got his greencard through you?Originally posted by DMX View PostThank you. Can you tell me what that second interview would be for?
