  • Do we have to enter the US together at the same time as family on Green Card?

Hi. Do we have to enter the US at the same time if I received the Green Card for myself and my family. Is there an option to go just myself first to prepare the ground and then take them to the US later (let say 6 months later...) while already settled (house rent, car, etc.) as it wouldn't be the greatest idea to go together with wife and three kids and find out we sleep at the airport first night...

    Thanks for any answers.
i apologise if there was a similar topic before and I missed it.

Yes. you can.Condition is that the Principal Applicant must be the first to Enter the USA. You will have to check the Validity of the A-Immigrant Visa of each of your Family Member.Depending upon till when the Respective Member's Health Clearance is Valid they issue 3 months ...6 months entry.(your Temporary Green Card No is already given A-Number)
...and non of your Dependants who are single can Marry before Entry..

I have been told, and have read on different forums, that the Sponsor must enter the US before, or at the same time as, the Beneficiary.

So, if your wife is the Citizen, who is sponsoring you, she must enter the US before, or with you and the other people (kids) she's sponsoring.

You may not travel to the US before the person who sponsored you.

If you are the primary beneficiary, then you can go first.

If you are a derivative beneficiary, then you can not go first.

In 6 months, your family's visas would expire. They need to come before their visas expire which could be shorter than 6 months.
