My mother who is a green card holder,went to India in Oct 2016 .She is suppose to be back in USA by end of May 2017. But due to personal/family issues she wants to extendher stay in India for some more time, which may be more then one year but less then 2years. Will she compromise her green card status(LP)? What all are her options. I will really appreciate any help or advise on this issue . Thanks
