Hi All,
I am new to this forum and I know this forum is really helpful for those that need some helps like me so I would like to share my anxiety here.
I know it might be too early to get worried but not seeing the check cashed out at this point sounds weird to me....
I am applying I-131 reentry permit and I have sent out application back on 12/27/17 and I checked on USPS website that has been delivered on 01/02/18 at Dallas PO box.
since then I don't see any updates. I didn't attach G-1145 form (I didn't know that I just found out that form after sending my package) so there's no way for me to check if my application has been accepted or not.
I sent personal check, but it hasn't been cashed out yet still.... it's been a week
also I keep checking USPS informed delivery to see if any mail for NOA or receipt will be coming but nothing so far.
I requested expedited processing cause I need to leave the country at the end of this month, I booked my flight ticket but since I am not even sure my application was accepted or not, this situation makes me get worried...
I called to USCIS this morning to find out at least my application is accepted or not but the lady who picked up my phone might haven't finished her 1st Monday morning coffee yet she was a little bit aggressive she said it will take up to 10 days for application to be generated so she can't check anything for me cause I am in normal processing line.
I have been reading a lot of forum saying if case is accepted then usually check is cashed out in a few days and receive the receipt in a week if expedited processing.
the only thing I would think of the case returning the package is that I missed writing "I-131 application fee" on the check. that is why my package is being returned ????? I don't know....
I am planning on resending my package if I don't see any update by end of this week cause I need to take some action to catch the flight I already booked..
any idea or experience like this?? anybody got receipt before check cashed out?? pls let me know.
thanks in advance.
