  • Problematic Enterance

    Hello,
in 2011 me and my family won a green card in the lottery program,
I was 14 years old up until I was 16 (2013) I came each and every year but couldn't live there because I was minor, then I joined the army in Israel at the age 18 (3 Year Mandatory Services) and didn't go ever since.
Now I really want to go an live out there since I have money now, and I am allowed to travel that far again (Army vactions are too short and won't approve US visit because of distance)
but I am affraid they won't let me in and take my green card. I got everything as far as papers- 3 Year Service released note (Army) , my valid green card and my social security number. I don't have any re- entery permit other then that.

I was wondering if there is a better airport to land for this specific purpose? or perhaps to enter from land, for instance from canda to seattle.

And does the fact that I got it when I was minor changes anything or giving me any advantage in this case?
    Any other tips?
    Thnk you!

The answer depends on when was the last time you were in USA. Absence more than 1 year is trouble.

      Thank you for the answer!
My last time in USA was 5 years ago.
I understand there will be troubles in the airport but i could not go to the US because i was minor (my parents didn't allow me to go) and when i was 18 i could not leave Israel because i had to join the army for 3 years (Otherwise I would go to jail).
Can these reasons help me to enter?
I also read that an officer can't take my green card, is it true?
