I have been approved for green card back in July. It has been printed and mailed to me. Stupid of me that I was in between addresses (still own the house it's been sent to but I was in the process of moving out of it and renting it out) when the card was sent. The post office person knew us personally and saw me every day and knew I was moving out. When the day of delivery came, she forwarded the mail to my new address. I had no idea USCIS mail doesn't get forwarded. Stupid of me again. Long story short, green card went back to USCIS.
I immediately updated my address and got confirmation from USCIS that it will be resent to me as a courtesy.
That was 8 months ago. I have since started a few service requests. Every time I started an SR or called USCIS I've been assured that my card will be sent to me.
Well I think I'm finally giving up and eating the $455 reapplication fee. No problem. If anything I'm owning up to my own mistake.
Here's the catch. I'm most likely going to be offered a new job with another company very soon. Much sooner than I might get the GC again. We have gone through all the steps and it's a great opportunity.
If I apply for an I-90 now and have a new job at the biometrics & interview, is this a reason for them to deny my I-90?
Do I have to turn down this awesome job opportunity?
I'm lost.
Thanks for any insight.
